Hotel SB Plaza Europa

The SB Plaza Europa is a bright new modern 4 star hotel situated on the famous Gran Via in the business district of the city. The very popular Gran Via 2 Shopping Centre is just 5 minutes walk from the hotel and offers a host of shopping and restaurant choices. The Fira 2 Convention Centre is within easy reach, being just a 15 minute walk away. Ildefons Cerda train station is just 2 minutes walk from the hotel, and two stops along allows full access to the Metro system at Plaza Espana, from where guests can easily reach all the famous attractions of Barcelona such as La Sagrada Familia, the Picasso Museum and the Fundacio Joan Miro, with the colourful street entertainment of Las Ramblas only 20 minutes from the hotel by public transport.

All 243 rooms in the newly completed 4* Plaza Europa are air conditioned and feature flat screen television with a selection of channels, Wi-Fi internet access, tea and coffee making facilities as well as a mini bar. The hotels Punt I Coma restaurant serves a variety of Mediterranean cuisine, whilst the pool side bar serves a selection of snacks, drinks and cocktails. This hotel benefits from a roof top pool (open in Summer) as well as a sauna and Turkish bath. On-site parking is available at the hotel for which there is a charge.

FROM EL PRAT AIRPORT: The airport train station is a short walk from the terminals, via a covered walkway. There are train services from the airport to the city centre every 30 minutes. Take a train towards the city changing at Gornal station to Ildefons Cerda. Exit the station and cross over Gran Via Avenue. Head left, then right onto Carrer de la Literatura. At the end of this road you will the Plaza Europa Hotel on the left on Carrer de las Ciencias.
FROM CENTRAL BARCELONA: Take Metro Line 1 (Red) or Line 3 (Green) to Espana, then change to the local trainto Ildefons Cerda, Exit the station and cross over Gran Via Avenue. Head left, then right onto Carrer de la Literatura. At the end of this road you will the Plaza Europa Hotel on the left on Carrer de las Ciencias.

City Tax: From 1st November 2012 the authorities in Barcelona will levy a tourist tax of 1.10 Euro per person per day (maximum 7 day charge) which is payable at the hotel on arrival and not included in the above room rate.
