The Hotel de L`Ocean is located in the very heart of Paris. This 3* hotel is surrounded by the most famous Parisian department stores, Printemps and Galleries Lafayette. Folies Bergere and the Moulin Rouge along with Montmartre can all be found in the Opéra area. Major advantages for the hotel are the nearby transport links with metro, bus and railway stations all just minutes walk.
All of the 52 rooms have been completely renovated. They all have air-conditioning, soundproofing, large bathrooms with hairdryer, direct dial phone with modem socket, minibar, satellite TV and a private safe. The hotel has a breakfast room and bar, and there are many restaurants within a 10 minute walk.

FROM CHARLES DE GAULLE: Take the RER B to Chatelet and change onto Metro line 7 to Cadet. Exit the station and turn left into Rue de Cadet. Take the 2nd road on the right into Rue de Mayran where you will see the hotel.
FROM GARE DU NORD: Exit the station onto Rue de Dunkerque, turn right and turn left into Rue de Maubeuge. Walk for about 5 minutes and take the 7th left into Rue de Rochechouart. Take the 1st right into Rue Mayran, where you will see the hotel.

Only sight problem is contained in the instructions on how to get there. It tells you to turn left when leaving Metro exit at Cadet - if you do that you will walk away from the hotel as we did. You need to turn immediately right and walk up the hill (heading North) in the direction of Mon Matre and take the second right and you will find the hotel about 25yds ahead of you on the righthand side of the road....

I was a little unsure of what to expect with 3 star hotels in Paris after reading allsorts of different reviews,but i can honestly say this hotel was very good,the staff were more than helpful,the hotel was very clean,shower was hot and powerful,the bed was more than comfortable, it was great.My partner and i took his mum and aunty for 3 nights and they were so pleased with the hotel and both said would stay there again....

We stayed here one night and being regular visitors to Paris ,over the last 37 years, we were extremely impressed with the standard of the room, and the service we recieved. We were breaking our journey from South of France to England, and the hotel happily stored our cases for several hours befor our return journey....

We have just returned from Paris (24 March 2008) and would definitely revisit the Hotel de L`Ocean. The staff were exceptionally courteous, helpful and friendly and the rooms and public areas of the hotel were bright, clean and well maintained. Rue Mayran is a quiet little cul de sac just yards away from Rue Lafayette and it is less than 5 minutes walk from Cadet Metro station. It is a pleasant walk from the hotel to Sacre Coeur and Galleries Lafayette/Opera house. Only improvement I would make is a little more variety at breakfast. Other than that, a super 3* hotel....

We booked for New Year on the internet, we had a lovely stay, the staff were extremely helpful and our room was pleasant and clean....

We really enjoyed our stay at the hotel. The room was clean and quiet, the staff were very pleasant and personal and overall we loved our stay. In 24 hours we saw every major landmark in Paris thanks to the hotels great location. So near to the metro station "Cadet" we found access to everywhere extremly easy. I`d reccomend the hotel to my friends and family.. that should say it all....

Spacious room. Lovely bathroom. Upbeat decor, obviously newly refurbished. .We were able to leave our luggage there till the evening bus shuttle to the airport. Very convenient. Excellent location with many cafes,shops and restaurants. It was the quiet environment that really meant a lot to us....

This was our first time to Paris and we found the Hotel de L`Ocean by chance on the web. We were very impressed. It was great to be able to get breakfast from early morning until 11am. The metro is close to the hotel and there are plenty of nice restaurants close by also. Would recommend it to you all....
