Really great little hotel. Single room was clean and comfortable. Shower could use some better water pressure but all in all I recommend this place. Breakfast is scrummy....

Stayed for 1 night with my sister and elderly mother. Room had lovely view of cathederal, and bedding and bathroom were nice and clean!!! The only drawback were the number of stairs but Mum managed!! Location was good , few mins walk into shops and centre, but quiet with very little traffic. Parking was easy with municipal car park opposite we obtained a ticket from hotel reception for £6 for 24hrs which was ideal for us.Had nightcap in bar, good atmosphere, very Christmassy, and the highlight of the stay for us was the wonderful cooked breakfast in the morning. We found the staff most pleasant and helpful giving us advice and a map and would like to say a big Thank you for looking after Mum and keeping her topped up with coffee while we popped out shopping!!! Will def be booking again....

Stayed here for a week whilst on a summer course at the university. The staff were all very helpful (giving us maps and directions for where we wanted to be, lending us an umbrella, letting us pre-order our evening meal through as we wouldn`t be back in time), the hotel and pub were both kept very clean. Lovely ambience, and the food was great too (eve and breakfast). The one downside was that a couple of times they didn`t have what we wanted for breakfast - they had run out of salmon. But luckily we were able to have this another day - worth the wait!...
