we got `upgraded` to The House...Room was fantastic, more like the size of a studio flat. Large size ensuite with bath & separate shower. Saw hotel room through a window & they look pretty good too, although can`t comment more. The Bothy is the hotel restaurant, food is good & reasonably priced & booking- even as a hotel guest - is essential. It also has a reasonable size car park (approx a dozen spaces). Public transport into Edinburgh is frequent with 2 bus stops within a 2 min walk of hotel on either side - (20 min bus ride). It is also opposite Murrayfield Stadium. Edinburgh Zoo is 5 min drive -(about a mile) down the road. Would highly recommend hotel & will certainly be going back....

The welcome we received upon arrival was very friendly. Our room was well appointed and the tea and coffee making facilities were by far the most generous we have experienced. We opted to dine in the Hotel bar and enjoyed a very good meal. Staff were helpful with directions to enhance our brief stay in Edinburgh. We would have no hesitation in recommending the Hotel....
