Royal Ramblas

The recently refurbished 4* Royal Ramblas occupies a prime location in the very heart of Barcelona on the famous boulevard of Las Ramblas, a pleasant mile long tree lined avenue. Here street performers rub shoulders with living statues and the streets are lined with bars and restaurants and stalls selling locally made wares. Being in such a good central location guests are also within a short walk of Catalunya Square, considered to be the most central point in Barcelona where the bustling Las Ramblas meets the edge of the Gothic Quarter. The Gothic Quarter is home to one of the city`s main attractions, Barcelona`s Cathedral or `La Seu`, a prime example of the Catalan Gothic style. Alternatively a ten minute stroll from the hotel you will find the Passeig de Gracia, where you can explore some of Gaudi`s finest art nouveau architecture including La Pedrera, now a public museum where many exhibitions are held.

All of the 119 modern, comfortably furnished rooms are completely sound-proofed to ensure a peaceful stay. Each room boasts an en-suite marble bathroom with hairdryer, satellite television, WLAN Internet access (pay for), minibar, air conditioning, double glazed windows and free digitally secured safe. Many of the rooms enjoy a wonderful view of the Ramblas (upgrade charge applies) and the centre of Barcelona. Non-smoking rooms are available on request. There is an onsite restaurant open for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Here guests can sample food made from fresh, locally sourced ingredients. CLOSEST METRO: Plaza Catalyuna. Exit station for Las Ramblas, and continue down Las Ramblas boulevard where you will see the hotel on the right at number 117.

BY CAR: From El Prat Airport: Follow the signs in the direction of the city centre, take road Ciutat Vella then Las Ramblas and Plaça de Catalunya.

BY TAXI: From El Prat Airport: The distance from Barcelona Airport to the hotel is 13 km (approx 25 min.) and the estimated cost is 30 euros depending on the traffic and luggage carried.

BY AEROBUS: From El Prat Airport: Take the blue Aerobus "Barcelona Airport to Plaça Catalunya stop" (the stop is 100m from the hotel). It takes about 30 min. and the cost is 4.05 euros one way and 7.00 euros round trip. BY AEROBUS: From Girona Airport: Take the aerobus direct from Girona Airport to "Estació del Nord" in Barcelona. BY METRO: From "Estació del Nord": take the Metro, red line 1 from "Arc de Triomf" and disembark at Placa Catalunya. Follow directions above..

Cancellation Terms:Cancellations: Please note the Royal Ramblas Hotel requires 7 day`s notice for cancellation during some Fair Dates - 28/03/13 to 01/04/13, 10/05/13 to 12/05/13 & New Year 28/12/13 to 01/01/14. Cancellations within 7 days of arrival between these dates will incur a charge equivalent to the first nights` stay.

City Tax: The authorities in Barcelona have levied a tourist tax of 1.21 Euro per person per day (maximum 7 day charge) which is payable at the hotel on arrival and not included in the above room rate.
