"Excellent hotel, wonderful position, so sad it`s not going to be there for another visit."
Only one night but my friend and I enjoyed our brief stay. All the staff were particularly pleasant and helpful and those on Reception pulled out all the stops to enable us to retain one of our rooms for the extra hours needed to prepare for the flight to Australia. Keep them all, they`re treasures!!

vastly over priced breakfast they didnt even have orange juice we had to wait ten mins for bacon and egg you got coffee when the waitress got round to you which was normally at the end of your breakfast normally thistle are tops for breakfast but even the staff at this one couldnt care less

"Decent base for trip to London"
To be honest I thought the hotel was a bit basic for a 4 star hotel. I was staying with my teenage son and the choice of viewing on the television was very poor. I had a DVD player with me but was told that I could not use it with the TV, something that should not have caused a problem. However, the staff were extremely pleasant and very helpful at all times.

"Felt hotel was more of a 3 than 4 star"
Was very warm and windows sound proofed which prevented them to be opened. Due to having no air condition wasn`t very pleasant.

"Beautiful hotel."
This is a beautiful hotel. Our room was more like a small suite with an entrance hall, seating area, sleeping area and of course en suite bathroom. The location was very good, only about a 5 minute walk from Victoria Station. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Everything was clean and well maintained and quite as it should be. The only thing I would ask them to work on is the provision of gluten free food. Just because you h have genius bread

Overall very good hotel with good access to all transport links. Room was very comfortable, breakfasts with 10 pound voucher were acceptable. Only disappointment was the poor quality towels and no face cloths even when requested

Well placed for doing the London tourist circuit. Plenty of bars and cafes in the area to avoid over-priced hotel eating and drinking. Needs a full makeover, but given the whole area is being re-developed in Autumn 2012, that`s not going to happen. It worked well for us for a short stay.

The staff were extremely friendly and helpful. The room was large, comfortable and clean. My only complaint was the snack lunch. A prawn cocktail sandwich had no cocktail, simply dry, totally tasteless prawns, an egg mayonnaise sandwich was also dry and unappetising. In contrast, the breakfast was excellent. We didn`t stay in for dinner.

"Solid comfortable hotel."
A handily placed hotel for The Royal Victoria theatre. Stuck in an 80`s time warp decor wise it nevertheless is clean and comfortable. The staff are friendly and helpful.

"Family friendly"
Staff were all very helpful especially the concierge when we had a taxi problem.Room and hotel were clean and comfortable.We had evening meal and breakfast at the hotel these were up to standard.

Check-in staff friendly and helpful - we were upgraded to a double delux room instead to the twin room booked - It was a birthday week-end for myself and my 7 year old daughter so we were delighted to be given such lovely room making our week-end extra special - will certainly stay at the Thistle Westminster next time.

"Thistle Westminster"
The hotel location was perfect for our plans and the hotel itself was good overall. They did get our room booking wrong (not enough beds in the family room for our children) but did resolve it well although it meant the two rooms we booked were no longer co-located. This wouldn`t have mattered much except that when we were all evacuated by a fire alarm we couldn`t all find one another which made us realise for future how important being co-located is for safety! All went ok in the end though and our stay was really enjoyable.

"Good Hotel, great position and very helpful staff."
Perfect for visitors to London. Close/walking distance to most places of interest. Would certainly return to Thistle Westminster when going to London again. We had our grandchildren with us and it was a very relaxed atmosphere.

Great hotel and great staff. Polite. helpful and friendly as well as efficient. Great breakfast. Thank you for a lovely stay in the lakeview Apartment, what a lovely surprise esecially as I had three of my granddaughters with me. Will certainly make the Thistle Westminster my base when I am next in London. Great central location also.
