Paid extra for a late check out, 3pm only to be locked out of our room at 4.45 housekeeping wouldn`t let us in, so trip back down to reception despite getting our room key reset for the 3pm check out. Rooms are tiered and not very clean, dust on headboard, lamp shades, dripping tap and mould on tiles in the bathroom.

We arrived at the hotel after a long coach and train journey from Plymouth 15.30. It was nice to see that the hotel had left a little gift for my wife on her birthday. After a about a hour relaxing we decided to get a nice bath. After loads of attempts there was no hot water. I rang reception after about 30mins a engineer turned arrive and checked the was temperature, he suggested we would have to move rooms. After waiting approximately 20mins. We changed rooms. This now made us late for the show so we had to get a taxi to the ABBA venue £30. Also the new room was substandard. Very disappointed after waiting so long for our weekend away.

"Perfect location. Fantastic staff."

This hotel is situated right next to The tower bridge and the much unknown st Katherine`s Dock. A hidden gem with lovely restaurants. Go from busy London to peaceful bliss in 5 minutes.

Heating control stuck on 20 unable to adjust ,heated towel rail did not work . Bathroom very dated with Rawlplug left hanging out of wall . Toilet very low to floor so anyone with any kind of difficulties would not have been able to use

A great location with views over the Thames, Tower Bridge, less than a 100 metres from The Tower of London and only a very short walk to Tower Hill underground station. Our room was very comfortable with a great view. The staff were so friendly and helpful. Highly recommended to all.

"Poor facilities in room."

Pillows too soft,mattress too hard. Room overlooked by another. Fridge locked( no mini bar is fine but fridge should be available for items purchased from shop) Inadequate lighting in room. Kettle wasn`t on display so didn`t realise thier was 1 until the 2nd day. Unable to attend show due to illness caused by Coffee in room. Overall a very disappointing weekend

"Shabby Hotel. Wonderful shoe"

We contacted the hotel to arrange a twin room. We got a double bed in a room so small that there was only room on one side of the bed for a bedside table. The furnishings were really shabby, worn and dirty. Really disappointing.

"Mixed Bag"

Stayed at this Hotel in the past , that`s why I booked it.Great location and generally a good Hotel. The room we were allocated was not in good order!! Needs a complete overhaul, to be fair the Hotel is undergoing refurbishment and no doubt our room will at some stage be part of that.To compensate us the Hotel give us complimentary breakfast both morning because there was no other rooms available.

We were allotted a small, basic room. It was clean, and the bed was comfortable. Breakfast was very expensive (£ 25 per person) The hotel is quite a long way from the tube station.

"Location good, room OK. Very expensive breakfasts. Busy and slow lifts at peak times."

Location is good. Allocated a room on 1st floor with view out over rooftop to air conditioning units. Very disappointing compared with previous visits to this hotel. Hotel breakfast quoted as £25 per person so walked out to St Katherines dock cafe and had good breakfast for much less. Distance from Tower Hill underground not excessifve BUT does involve some steep steps - unless you take the long way round. Poor and infrequent eastbound circle line trains to Kings Cross. Difficult to get to eastbound platform with heavy cases.

Ordered beef burger got chicken burger .. confusing for the guest didn`t know about the bar and was at first refused entry Saturday at 11 am told all booked it was empty at the time..

"Tower Hotel"

On the whole, hotel very good. Staff very friendly. In very good position overlooking Tower Bridge. Needs a lot of renovation in rooms, woodwork chipped, paint scratched. Noticed rotting window cills in breakfast area. Outside needs sandblasting and cleaning up. It`s a shame because these few things, stop it from being excellent.

The room was perfect with a fabulous view over the Thames Tower Bridge and the Shard. The bathroom needs attention as the shower head did not work properly and showering was difficult if not impossible

The initial room I was put in had mould present so I asked to be moved, which I was but it doesn`t feel acceptable to put someone in a room with mould present. When I booked the room there was no mention of the construction works taking place and nor was I contacted to be advised. The hotel is in need of freshening up, the paintwork and furniture are very dated and it no longer feels as special as it did. Which is a shame.

"Small rooms"

I have stayed at this hotel in the past and found the room size to be a good standard unfortunately this time the room was small and very basic. The room is a standard 2 star hotel room. Will not be staying here again.
