The Hotel de Paris Montparnasse is ideally located for exploring some of the darker history of Paris, only a 10 minute walk from Montparnasse Cemetery, known to be the resting place of artists, writers and actors. The famous Paris Catacombs are also only a 16 minute walk away. Alternatively the beautiful 24 hectares of Luxembourg Gardens are under a 20 minute walk away. Being under a 10 minute walk away from 4 metro stations, including Edgar Quinet and Montparnasse Bienvenue, makes it easy to travel around Paris. Both the Eiffel Tower and Notre Dame Cathedral are only 21 minutes away by metro. Gare du Nord, for the Eurostar, is under 30 minutes away by metro.
