About the show

The Show
The Prince of Egypt retells the story of Moses from the Book of Exodus in the Bible. Sent down the Nile in a wicker basket young Moses is found by the Pharaohs wife, who proceeds to adopt him as her own. Moses grows up as a Prince alongside his brother Ramses, the pair form a tight bond over time, but Moses's destiny will test that bond to its limits.

History of The Prince of Egypt
A relatively new musical, The Prince of Egypt debuted in 2017 in California at the TheatreWorks Silicon Valley. The musical has since had two different runs in Denmark and another in the US, in 2021 the musical will be coming to the West End's Dominion Theatre. The musical is based on the book by Philip LaZebnik which also spawned an animated movie by DreamWorks in 1998.
