The 5* voco St David`s Cardiff on the waterfront at Cardiff Bay, is a spectacular glass-fronted, luxurious hotel with swimming pool and spa. Approximately 4.5 miles from the city centre and with its own car park, this area has plenty to offer visitors including Techniquest, the interactive science centre which is just 4 minutes walk from the hotel. Mermaid Quay, a 6-minute walk away, is a vibrant waterfront location packed with shops, bars and restaurants, many with outside seating to suit every occasion. From here buses run to Cardiff City Centre, a 20-minute journey for visitors wishing to visit Cardiff Castle, for a performance at St David`s Hall or an event at the Principality Stadium.
All of the 142 air-conditioned rooms and suites at the 5* voco St David`s are spacious and have views across the bay, some also have balconies. In-room facilities include Smart TV, free Wi-Fi, tea & coffee making facilities as well as work desks and laptop safes. The luxurious ensuite bathrooms have bathrobes and complimentary toiletries to ensure a relaxing stay. Hotel guests have complimentary access to the spa facilities which include indoor pool, fitness suite and sauna as well as an extensive menu of treatments bookable and payable directly with the hotel). The Tir a Mor restaurant serves a menu of dishes inspired by Welsh ingredients and has views across the bay as well as a waterside terrace and cocktail bar.

Car parking - There are two car parks available adjacent to the hotel, charges apply. Guests are able to pay directly with the hotel for the Parking Eye car park, or via the machines in the Cardiff Council Managed, Havana Street car park
We had originally booked a two night rail and hotel stay in Edinburgh for March 2020 but Covid put paid to that! However, we were able to change our booking to VOCO`s St. David`s 5* hotel and we were SO glad we did. We had the most wonderful stay! The evening meals in the Admiral restaurant were delightful and the breakfasts the best we have had anywhere. The views from our 6th floor room with its floor to ceiling windows overlooking Mermaids Quay, the Millennium Centre and the Welsh Parliament building were stunning. The staff were helpful at every turn and provided a local map of the Bay area and City Centre so on our main day we walked all around the Bay and then had a boat tour of the Bay and finished up with river boat trips up to the City Centreand back . Only one word can describe our stay - magnificent! A big Thank You to all the staff at St. David`s!...
