Beech Hill Hotel and Spa

Located on the shores of Lake Windermere the 4* Beech Hill Hotel & Spa also has breath-taking views across to the Western Fells. Bowness-on Windermere, once a small fishing village and now a base for water activities and boating, is 3 miles, approximately 7 minutes drive away. The best way to see the Lake District is from the water and there a numerous tours available. There are a number of small towns around Lake Windermere within easy driving distance including Ambleside which is 8.5 miles, 18 minutes drive and Windermere which is 5 miles, 12 minutes drive. The hotel has plenty of free, onsite parking and is approximately 15 minutes by taxi from Windermere Station.

The 4* Beech Hill Hotel & Spa has 55 rooms and suites, many of which have balcony or garden access. All have ensuite bathrooms with power shower, toiletries and hairdryers. In-room amenities include flat-screen TV and tea & coffee making facilities. During their stay guests can make use of the hotel`s Spa facilities The Lake View Spa has a 35ft indoor swimming pool, Himalayan Sauna and aromatic steam room. A range of spa treatments are also available which must be pre-booked and paid for directly with the hotel in advance. Views of Lake Windermere are also a feature of the Bar & Lounge which serves drinks and meals throughout the day, including Afternoon Tea. PLEASE NOTE: This hotel is built on a hillside with many steps. All rooms are reached by stairs as there is not lift. Although some rates are described as Double/Twin, all rooms are doubles. During 2026 an outdoor infinity pool is being installed, no disruption to guests is anticipated.
